Edward Lynam, trainer of Slumming Angel, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to be very distressed post race

The Stewards fined David Wachman, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of White Satin Dancer (GER), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Air Force Blue (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Lord Of The Land, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed third and Toscanini, ridden by James Doyle, placed first, where it appeared Lord Of The Land received a bump. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental and took no further action.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Arbourfield trained by Mrs Prunella Dobbs, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.
